- None. The CM Ace does not have a front camera.
Does the CM Ace have a resistive or capacitive touchscreen?
- The CM Ace has a capacitive touchscreen (same technology found in most smartphones today).
Can I root my CM Ace (Firefox OS)?
- No. You may not root the CM Ace (Firefox OS). If ever you will find a way to root the device, warranty gets voided.
Will USSD Codes like #143* and #121* work with the CM Ace (powered by Firefox OS)?
- Yes, USSD codes will work with the CM Ace (Firefox OS). You will be able to subscribe to your favorite prepaid packages with it.
How do I increase the storage of my CM Ace (Firefox OS)?
- You may install a Micro SD Card to your CM Ace (Firefox OS). Up to 16GB is supported.
What’s inside the CM Ace (Firefox OS) box?
- When you buy a CM Ace (Firefox OS), it will include the handset, battery, earphones, USB data/charging cable, charger, and some documentation/manuals.
- Do not forget to activate the eWarranty of your CM Ace on day 1 of purchase to enjoy a 15-month protection coverage.
What Internet APN shall I use for my CM Ace (Firefox OS)?
- It is telco dependent. We recommend following these APN Settings from Yugatech.com.
How do I take a screenshot on the CM Ace (Firefox OS)?
- Press the Power and Home buttons simultaneously. But before you do this, make sure that you have a Micro SD Card installed or your CM Ace configured to save images using the Internal Storage.
This can be set via Settings -> Media Storage -> Default Media Location (Internal / SD Card).
Is it possible to remove the vibration when pressing the Home button?
- No. It is an accessibility feature telling the user that he/she had pressed the Home button.
Every time I will make a battery pull, the Date and Time is reset. Why is that so?
- Based on the hardware design of the CM Ace (Firefox OS), it has no battery capacitor to store the date and time set. We suggest that you enable the Date and Time to Automatic (Settings -> Date & Time -> Set Automatically (YES).
I cannot rotate the screen of my CM Ace (Firefox OS) — portrait to landscape, and vice-versa.
- With the size of the CM Ace’s screen, the screen rotate function is dependent on the app that you are using. If a particular app supports reorientation, then there will be a screen rotate function.

- Currently, Firefox OS version 1.3T is available for the CM Ace.
Do the Firefox OS smartphones need to always stay online to use apps?
- Firefox OS smartphones are entirely HTML5-based, bringing the best of the Web to your phone. When you choose Firefox OS, you have the full power of the Web in your hands. Although Firefox OS is built on Web technologies but has offline capabilities for all the phone’s core functions. That means apps do not require an active Internet connection to work unless they need to send or receive data.

- No. APK files are for Android devices. Firefox OS apps may be installed from the Firefox Marketplace Place.
Is there a Facebook app for Firefox OS?
- Yes, there is a Facebook app for Firefox OS. Download it straight from the Firefox Marketplace.
Is there a Twitter app for Firefox OS?
- Yes, there is a Twitter app for Firefox OS.
Can I play Clash of Clans on my CM Ace (Firefox OS)?
- Clash of Clans (COC) is not yet in the Firefox Marketplace.
Can I install Instagram on my CM Ace (Firefox OS)?
- Instagram is not yet in the Firefox Marketplace.
Is Wattpad available for the CM Ace (Firefox OS)?
- The Wattpad app is not yet in the Firefox Marketplace. However, the Wattpad website is accessible from Firefox (pre-installed in the CM Ace). You may want to create a shortcut (star symbol in the Firefox UI) for this website, so that it will appear as an icon in your CM Ace Home screen.
What are the games that can be played in Firefox OS?
- There are tons of awesome games available for Firefox OS devices like the CM Ace. Check some of the games here.
What Firefox OS apps can be used to edit photos inside the CM Ace?
- The Gallery app inside your Firefox OS device has a built-in Image Editor.
- From within the Firefox Marketplace, notable apps for image editing are PhotoFunia and AfterEffects.
Is WhatsApp available for the CM Ace (Firefox OS)?
- WhatsApp is not yet available in the Firefox Marketplace. However, you may use ConnectA2 to connect to the WhatsApp Network. Download and install ConnectA2 from the Firefox Marketplace in your CM Ace.

I bought the phone and was highly disappointed with the lag I frequently experienced. A few weeks of use and then the mic died on me. This is not a good impression for a market dominated with Android phones. I shouldn’t have expected a Symbian-like OS.
Yes agree with you, the phone was laggy but I think that this was due to the procie being only 1 Gig and a single core at the that. I don’t know what you mean with the lag, and by the way being only having a a 2G connection at that too contributing to the lag.

I like the Firefox OS installed on CM ACE rather than the old Android which lags more, has no access to Google play store, and has a very limited storage space and storage saving capabilities where only Facebook can be installed then it becomes full. But there’s still a lot of things that should be improved on CM ACE Firefox OS.
First: The built-in Keyboard. It can’t catch up with my typing speed and has very small keys, I really wish to have a T9 keyboard that can either be downloaded or installed into the phone on the next update or at least a keyboard the is responsive enough.
Second: The screen orientation. It does not work no matter what app I use, I can’t play videos on full screen because of the incapability to re-orient.
Third: The camera app. Do not have any setting.
Fourth: Fonts. I noticed that my phone restarts every time I opened Music just because of a few songs with Japanese font in both title and/or properties. The phone acted fine again after I deleted those songs from my SD card.
I hope an update will be made. You can ignore the last 3 but the phone is almost useless because of the unresponsive keyboard.
The best thing I like about Firefox OS though is its very space saving apps. Its apps are really small, runs fast enough, and I can download more or less 20 apps on its 72.7 MB app storage.

Last Dec.06 I purchased Ace with Firefox OS at one of the kiosk here in Sm Cubao. After reaching home I tested everything but its Wifi is not working it cannot connect to our wifi router and stuck in obtaining ip address then becomes offline then attempts again. The process is stuck in a loop and remains forever but doesnt connect. I tried to remove and forget the ssid of the router from the phone and tried again w/o success. Tried everything changing my routers settings, even tried w/o security using OPEN but still it wouldnt connect. Also restarted reseted the phone many many times but still it would connect. I send it to my friend to test it on their wifi, just the same the results still wouldnt connect. I think there is something wrong w/ this unit or model? other phones connect to the same wifi flawlessly. I came across a topic during searching for solutions online at bugzilla, the thread is about a bug in firefox os wifi connection problem w/c cannot obtain an ip address. The firefox os version is 1.3T build 28.1 w/c is exactly the same version w/c CM Ace uses and there is still no patch or updates from CM or Firefox site yet. If this is so then a lot of people may have experience the same wifi connection problem since this model had just been recently sale at P999 from Dec13-15. Does anyone experience the same problem? I wonder how can I resolve this issue and if this issue is problem w/ firefox or CMs hardware and I have read about CM poor customer service.
Thanks for visiting our website and posting this comment. This is the first time that we had encountered such issue with the CM Ace. We suggest that you bring your device to the nearest Cherry Mobile Service Center and have it checked (and replaced if necessary).

So I tried to search for solution myself and came across unboxing video in youtube who similarly
experience the same wifi problem suggesting to reset the phone for solution. After doing this I noticed something strange, my ace’s MAC address has changed. To confirm it I again reset the phone and it’s confirmed it does change its MAC address on reset. It’s MAC starts w/ 00:

I also tried connecting the phone to my pc thinking I might be able to see some setting files installed but it doesn’t show in my computers but just a beep sound that from the usb port detection. Thanks

Used this for a week now as a secondary phone for call and text and a bit of web browsing. The battery life is good for my type of use, adding a T9 keyboard would be big plus for this phone, since using the default keyboard is a hit miss for me especially on the corners the q,a,z,shift,p,l,m,enter,backspace

Just go to the Marketplace and (download) install a File Manager app.
Why I can’t download the Facebook on Firefox is?
Make sure that you are connected to the internet via WiFi or Mobile Data. Go to the Marketplace app and search for the Facebook app.

Someone brought me one of these phones to check out and for some reason the marketplace does not work at all. If I try to check for updates it just errors out. Everything else is fine, I can open Firefox without issue and browse to ipchicken.com etc…

Hello. I want to ask if updates for firefox OS is available. I was just hoping to read pdf files sana. According sa description ng file manager app, os 1.4 and higher has the capacity to open pdf files. Or, if updates are not possible, are there any apps which can open/read pdf files? That’s all I want.
Firefox OS updates will depend on the device you are using. If you’re using the Cherry Mobile Ace, the current Firefox OS version is still 1.3T.
If you’re referring to the Firefox OS update for the CM Ace, there is none as of the moment. Current Firefox OS version for the CM Ace is still 1.3T. Due to the hardware limitations of the CM Ace, the ability to read/open PDF files is disabled.
CM Ace is okay for me because i can use fb and twitter but i just want to ask why can’t i connect CM Ace to the computer why doesn’t it show anything? it would just beep that it was connected but the computer can’t read it, it just kept on charging. and when i use micro SD Card reader it would just say that i have to reformat it but when i click reformat it still doesn’t work?

With regards to your SD Card: may we know the capacity of the memory card you are trying to use with the CM Ace?

PDF files won’t open in the CM Ace due to hardware (memory) limitations.

Common video formats can played in the Cherry Mobile Ace, powered by Firefox OS. It may just be that your SD Card’s format is not recognized by the device.

Cherry Mobile Ace is not good.. For me the cherry mobile madali lng masira.. Katulad ko bago lng ako bumili, nasira na agad…. Wala pang 1 month.. hindi mag function ang screen nya.. Why?

Why this CM f100 can’t save offline pages. It also can’t connect with other bluetooth devices, can’t pass an apps/ can’t open a passes apps. It also cant delete messages by means of deleting it all in just a click and why some appshere doesnt open and it all just do is hang and log……….Pls improve this device more

Sir I have had the Ace for a few days and I like it. I have always been an Android guy but FFox is not too bad. Question, is it possible to delete some of the apps that were installed with the phone ? Self installed apps are easy to remove but one app in particular, eWarranty. I have already submitted my warranty info and it was confirmed so I dont need the app anymore but I cant seem to find out how to get it off my screen. With Android there would be a trashcan at the top but I dont see that with FFox.

Firefox OS apps for the CM ACE are installed via the Marketplace app on your mobile device. Your old apps in your SD Card may not be compatible with Firefox OS.
Why the cherry mobile ace cannot read the files in my memory card??
If you had previously used the same memory card on another device, please have it reformatted first … its file system might not be compatible with the CM ACE running on Firefox OS.

Nope, it is not a malware or virus. Messages (SMS, MMS, etc.) and Contact entries in your mobile device (CM ACE) also use storage space.

Nasubukan mo na bang i-restart ang device mo? Photos and images stored in your device also eat up storage space.

Can the Ace be used to send eload? We use a Firefly triple sim phone is our store for this purpose, but sim3 doesn’t function anymore, we have already an Ace but when we tried the Sun xpress load sim in the Ace we were unable to access the eload menu!

Maybe, you are trying to download an app that is meant for use in a mobile device such as the Cherry Mobile ACE.

Most probably, if there is a need to replace the touchscreen or any component.

By default, wala. Just launch the Marketplace app then search for a calculator app to download and install to your CM ACE.

Got mine today. I’m happy with this one. Wala akong naramdamang pagsisisi. Pwede palang mag install ngg apps. sabi ng sales lady di raw pwede. Anyway, sana maging available na sa marketplace yung wattpad ang weird kasi pag sa laptop magbasa. Akala ko talaga for basic use ko lang to.

meron po akong cherry mobile ace ayus na ayos . nakakapagbrowse naman po ako with the use of wifi connection. kaso nga lang paano po ba makapagbrowse gamit yung load ko o yung free data connection na ibinibigay ng telco ko ( smart ) ? anung settings po ba dapat i-configurate ? please help lang po kasi maraming pera na rin po nasasayang ko kaka-experiment . thanks po 🙂

Lagi po issue nitong cm ace f100 ko ay laging may nlabas n device is running low ata un tas meron pa minsn below 6mb. Nag clear nq ng bookmarks, ibang apps bnura q tas mga message bnura q na dn pero gnun pa dn lumalabas kht irestart q.
