Excited as I am, It was a sunny day and we hit the road as early as 1pm going to College of Saint Benilde (CSB), School of Design and Arts to avoid the heavy traffic. The launching of Firefox Flicks Manila was held last June 25, 2013 to invite filmmakers and Firefox fans for film submissions.
The Firefox Student Ambassadors help set up the booth along with the CSB film students lead by Frankie and her team. The volunteers helped in the registration and guiding the attendees to the venue.
Attendees got the cool Firefox Flicks gear like postcards, posters and stickers but we also got the lovely Firefox lanyards, button pins and stickers.
An opening remarks was made by Jag Garcia, Digital Filmmaking Program School of Design and Arts of CSB. Fellow Mozilla Representative gave lighting talks, Robert Bob Reyes talked about the overview of Firefox OS and Kemuel Domanog explained how to join the Firefox Student Ambassadors. We waited for the dark before we start the screening of previous flicks winners and encouraged the participants to find inspiration for their flicks.
After the flick screening, we got some cool prizes for raffle like these Mozilla bags and T-shirts, congratulations to you guys.
Of course the popcorn is the bestseller during the event, watching films is not complete without a popcorn right? so we got two flavors to choose from. Captured in this photo the reaction faces of having a popcorn.
Got a lot of Pizza, pasta and sodas for everyone
Everyone seems to be enjoying the photo booth that even sir JAG joined the fun.
