Mozilla Philippines participated again at the 11th annual Philippine Youth Congress in Information Technology at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. It is considered one of the biggest gathering of IT experts and professionals, students and educators in the country. It is a 3-day convention and has an estimated 30,000 participants.
Mozilla was one of the exhibitors which entitled us to have a booth and placed near the entrance. We also got a speaking slot on Day 2, which our community manager who gives the talked and awed the participants during his talk.
During the 3-day event, the Mozilla Philippines is one of the exhibitors that got the longest queue for sign-ups. While students, faculty and other professionals are lining up our FSA volunteers promoted Mozilla’s products/programs such as Firefox OS through the Keon device, and the FSA Program itself.

Inside the booth we have a web based sign-up form for students and faculty that are interested to join the community and we also informed them how they can contact us so that the Mozilla Philippines can visit their school.
During the event we already received an invite from one of the schools present on the event,to conduct a workshop on Firefox OS.
Also after the event, the community had received more invites from different schools also to conduct a seminar or workshop for students about different products of Mozilla.
The team will become more busy this coming months and in early 2014.
