L10n Updates
Some awesome news: we have confirmation that Tagalog Firefox will be shipping by version 71 (around the first week of December 2019). Mabuhay! After ten (10) long years, the hard work of countless Pinoy Mozillians finally paid off. But mind you, this is just the beginning…
A week or two from now, Tagalog will be made available for download as Firefox Beta via this website.
Depending on the availability of venue and personnel, we might even have a Firefox Release Party for the localized version.
Another awesome news is that Mozilla will soon be moving to a faster 4-week release cycle. At present, we are following a 6-week release cycle. What does that mean to localization? For one, at the current pace of development, changes to localized versions of, say, Firefox will only land at the current release version after six (06) weeks. With the planned 4-week release cycle by 2020, Mozillians will only need to wait for a month for translation updates on Firefox to be in effect.

The
Onboarding Process Updates
We will be pilot testing the MozillaPH L10n Onboarding Process using a MOODLE Server for the whole month of October 2019. Soon, Pinoy Mozillians will be able to sign-up and use this learning environment to get them started with contributing to Mozilla.
Targets for October & November 2019
As we wait for the Tagalog Firefox to land in version 71, the MozillaPH L10n Team will continue with the quality assurance/control process of the localization.
Other Matters
Due to recent developments and movements in Mozilla (as an organization), the planning for a MozillaPH L10n Meetup is being put on hold (for the time being). Planning will commence right away as soon as direction on what the local L10n community should focus to is received.
The next MozillaPH L10n Team meeting will be determined by a Doodle posted on our Facebook Group [https://www.facebook.com/groups/mozillaphlocalization/] and Slack [https://mozillaph.slack.com].
Join other Pinoy Localizers via the MozillaPH Slack [https://mozillaph.slack.com] inside the #localization channel. (if you need access to MozillaPH Slack, please sign-up via http://bitly.com/mozillaphslack).
That’s all for now.
