We at the Mozilla Philippines Community are both happy and excited with Mozilla’s confirmation that the Boot to Gecko (B2G) Project will carry the Firefox Mobile OS brand. The Firefox Mobile OS is a new fully open mobile ecosystem based on HTML5. Boot to Gecko (B2G) is created based on the belief of Mozilla that the web can displace proprietary, single-vendor stacks for application development. Team Mozilla Philippines made a day trip to Zamboangao City (some 860 kilometers south of Manila) to attend the first local community meet up organized by our fellow ReMo (Mozilla Rep) RJ Ian Sevilla.
